Berklee College of Music Student to Open A New Music School in Manila
Berklee Alum Mr. Santi Hilado will open his own JSRH Music Lessons private teaching music school for beginner to intermediate level pianists and vocalists
Manila, PH - Berklee College of Music Student Mr. Santi Hilado plans to open his own music private teaching business at his Manila home studio: JSRH Music Lessons. As a pianist and a vocalist, Mr. Hilado is opening JSRH Music Lessons for beginner to intermediate level pianists and vocalists who are looking to become music performers. Lessons start at ₱4000 (PHP) a month. Lessons will also be offered in-person, online, and hybrid.

The founder and sole tutor of JSRH Music Lessons, Mr. Hilado, is a student in the prestigious Berklee College of Music. Mr. Hilado is also an experienced musical performer both as a vocalist and as a pianist. Having undergone extensive training both as a classical pianist and as a vocalist, Mr. Hilado has performed in multiple piano recitals, school events, and local band competitions both as a soloist and with different bands. During his time under private tutoring, Mr. Hilado also gained experience as a teaching assistant to private tutors for both beginning pianists and vocalists throughout his time as a student in his private lessons. Hence with his experience as a performer, a private tutee, and as a teaching assistant, Mr. Hilado has always wanted to run his own private lessons from his home to different beginner and intermediate level vocalists and pianists of all ages while also maintaining his performing career.

As the sole instructor of JSRH Music Lessons, Mr. Hilado has been very clear on his intentions as a music teacher:
"The main goal of JSRH Music Lessons is to improve the quality and capabilities of beginner to intermediate level pianists and vocalists of all ages by instilling fundamental learning into their repertoire. I will teach both beginner vocalists and pianists the fundamental aspects of singing and playing the piano as a performer through classical methods, as well as help them gain performance experience through our own mini recital/concert."

However, the opening of JSRH Music Lessons is still on hold as Mr. Hilado will only graduate in Spring 2024. In the meantime, Mr. Hilado is still active as a music teacher as he plans to continue working as a music teacher in Boston. Hence, Mr. Hilado will only improve as a music teacher from here, which will greatly benefit the credibility of JSRH Music Lessons once it opens in the future.
